Safari: Not the Most Vulnerable Browser, Even If It Failed First

Update: It looks like Chrome is the most secure browser right now, as none of the participants have been able to hack it. (report ed by ars technica)

I didn't know that there are any hacking contests for security researchers, but ZNet reports that for the 2nd year in a row, the winner has exploited vulnerabilities in the Safari browser to take full control over the target machine.

Anyways the part that actually caught my attention was this one:

Several hackers are currently attempting exploits against Internet Explorer 8 and Firefox but those browsers are still standing.

While pausing to reflect on the above, ZDNet has published an update in which they reported that all 3 (major) browsers have been successfully hacked. Now I can feel again as safe as a Windows user!
